AvPad for iPad 2 Update

We have been hard at work to get the iPad 2 version of the AvPad ready for you. We have run into a number of small issues, which prevented us from getting this out the door sooner. After a lot of trial and error, we have decided to re-design the case for the iPad 2. We had to remove the “sleeve” that the iPad slips into and instead added elastic straps on the corners to secure it in place. You still retain access to all the ports and buttons. Besides changing the design of how the iPad is secured, all other features remain the same. We have been working close with our manufacturer to get these ready as soon as possible. The next (and hopefully last) prototype should be in our hands on Tuesday. We should have them, in quantity, ready the week of EAA Airventure, which means you’ll be able to take advantage of our Airventure 2011 sale prices.

We apologize for the delay, and we hope you’ll understand that we wanted a quality product. We’ll provide more details on availability as soon as we have them.

do you have a conversion for us that bought the avpad at sun n fun for the ipad but now have upgraded to the ipad 2.
    its a sloppy fit now.
    thanks

    • Mark,
We do not have an upgrade for the AvPad to fit the iPad2. We had to redesign the AvPad to fit the iPad 2, due to how thin it is. Without purchasing a new AvPad for the iPad 2, there are a few options to you. If you have a smart cover, fold it back behind the iPad 2 and it will still fit in the AvPad case. Some thinner clips or cases that fit on the back of the iPad 2 gives it enough bulk to also fit in the AvPad. Also, a thin 1/8″ plastic sheet (found at most craft stores) allows it to fit. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

      Thank You,
      Mike
